This paper was written in response to frequently asked questions posted on the Signs of Safety Children's Services Support Group on.  The original question was "My hugest issue with Signs of Safety - a lot of parents won’t tell us what they think they need because they tell us we had no right to take their kids”

The paper responds to the question considering how the Signs of Safety practice principles, as well as the relationship building skills of practitioners, can support parents to move forward with us in an effective working relationship to promote great outcomes for their children.

This resource is useful for practitioners working directly with families, supervisors and team leaders.  It can guide practitioners to look at their role in helping families to work with us even when families may not agree with agency concerns.
